Who should take this course?

What level of expertise is required? This photography course is designed for beginners as well as experienced photographers. We begin with the essentials (you'd be shocked how often even experienced photographers lack some of these principles!) and work our way up. We're always thrilled to hear that even experienced photographers who've completed the course were amazed at how much they still learned. The primary concern our clients tend to have before taking the course is that they are not advanced enough, yet this is never the case! We've had folks join the course for the first time after taking their camera out of its plastic wrap and turning it on, and they, too, find the course essential and well-paced.

Is it appropriate for all cameras? Without a doubt! All of the theory is the same for all camera kinds and manufacturers, and as you'll see in my examples and diagrams, I include the various nomenclature, mode-setting names, and so on used across the board. While the majority of my examples use a full-on DSLR camera, mirrorless, micro 4/3rd cameras, and even bridge / compact cameras can do nearly all of the same things - sometimes the features are just buried in a menu somewhere, and/or the effects are less dramatic - but it's all there, waiting to be unleashed! Even if you only use a smartphone camera, there will be plenty of advice in this course to help you dramatically improve your photography - topics like composition, lighting, exposure, practical ideas, and so on - all of which apply to any photography, regardless of the type of camera you use!

What makes this course so special? There are numerous reasons why this course has been so popular, but the most common feedback is because it is taught in a very simple and approachable manner - no difficult jargon phrases, needless graphics, or useless theory. After 7 years of constantly tweaking this course, I can now guide you along a very well-refined road to learning exactly what you need to know, as easily as possible, with plenty of fantastic examples, and so on. Read the reviews; people are always inspired and filled with new insights. The summary clip-cards and course notes handbook also contribute significantly to the course's ongoing worth, as you can return to them in times of necessity or just when you have some time to kill and want to brush up without having to re-watch the videos.
